Enrollment Update

Strategic Enrollment Management relies on every member of the university contributing to the recruitment and retention of our students at all levels. Thank you for your ongoing engagement and dedication to helping students find their home here and be successful at SUNY Brockport. We remain in a strong position to achieve our enrollment goals for fall 2025.

Recruitment & Enrollment Update

Fall 2025 Undergraduate Recruitment

• Our updated first-year fall 2025 target is 1250 and we currently have 1271 first-year deposits, up from 909 in 2024 and 1230 in 2023. The 2023 comparison is most relevant because last year there was a later deposit deadline due to the FAFSA delay. A strong final week of April has put us in position to feel optimistic about hitting the 1250 target at census. 
• We are seeing signs of substantial growth of first year deposits in the university center sector, which is a potential headwind for our university. 
• Our fall transfer target is 725, and we currently have 389 transfer deposits, up from 326 at this point last year, and 297 in 2023. We receive the bulk of our transfer deposits after June 1, so we remain in a strong position with this group.

Graduate Recruitment

• Summer graduate applications, admits and deposits are all running ahead of last year.
• The fall new graduate student target is 460. We currently have 314 graduate deposits, which is 63 ahead of last year for the same point in time. Applications and admits are also running well ahead of last year with 4 months remaining in our fall admit cycle.

We aim to have 7,751 students enrolled at census in fall 2025, including 6,011 undergraduate students and 1,740 graduate students. Continuing student registration is ongoing and moving towards hitting our fall 2025 goal. 

Summer Orientation & EOP Summer Academy

Planning is well underway for two major summer programs: Golden Eagle Orientation and EOP Summer Academy. These events are critical to the onboarding of our new students and involve every arm of the university.
