It’s almost July! With this week’s heat wave, summer has more than arrived. It’s nearly fiscal year-end, evaluations and performance programs are due, work is progressing on the annual report, and planning for 2025-26 is well underway. Despite it being summer, it’s busy!
Some news and notes …
- Try to get those evaluations and performance programs completed and submitted (can be sent to HR electronically) as soon as possible. A reminder that both must be on file for UUP staff to be eligible for DSIs this coming fall.
- It’s a very busy time for our University Events operation with two high school graduations this weekend; the start of Camp Abilities and Empire Girls State this weekend; the annual Old Fashioned 4th of July celebration (that typically is on the Morgan Manning House lawn) on the grass between Hartwell and Alumni House; and the start of the MLK Boys Academy, Shake on the Lake, the President’s Summer Party, and more, all before the end of July. Thanks to Dan, Sharvani, Ben, and others for their leadership, guidance, and assistance.

- The year-end goal for Advancement is always to get 100% donor participation among all three boards – the Foundation, Alumni Association, and College Council – as well as Cabinet and the Advancement team. We expect to be there again this year.
- If your summer vacation or Work From Home (WFH) schedule changes at all, please be sure to update calendars and let Amy know so that changes can be made and everyone who needs to reach is able to find the most current information.
- The Scholarship process for 2025-26 is winding down with approximately 75% of awards selected. Thanks to Hillary for leading this process through a full cycle for the first time.
- We were once again successful in receiving SUNYCUAD (two) and PRism (two) awards this season. Kudos to all!!
