Enrollment Management Team,

I am looking forward to spending time together at the Enrollment Management Divisional Kick-off TODAY at 2pm at Sweden Town Park. It is a great opportunity to connect as colleagues before the fall semester starts in just a couple of weeks. Plus, there will be LuGia’s Ice Cream and other snacks!

We are offering another Enrollment Management Leadership Program for 2025-2026, consisting of leadership development workshops facilitated by internal and external presenters:

November - Authentic Leadership & Your Leadership Story

December - Leveling Up Project Management

January - Emotional Intelligence, Conflict Management and Communication as Leadership Superpowers

February - Developing Resilience & Prioritizing Team Wellness

This is a great professional development opportunity for any staff member in our division looking to grow and advance in the field of higher education. If you are interested in signing up for the program, please email Debbie Lester (dlester@brockport.edu) by September 1st.

Enrollment Management staff went above and beyond to coordinate Golden Eagle Orientation and EOP Summer Academy during the month of July. I repeatedly heard overwhelmingly positive feedback about our team throughout the summer programs. The families loved the individual financial aid appointments, the discussions with our offices at the tabling events, the various workshops, etc. Thank you for demonstrating genuine warmth and exceptional customer service to our incoming students and their families. Kudos to New Student & Transition Programs and the Educational Opportunity Program for their work coordinating these massive student onboarding events.

We will surpass 900 student athletes to start the year, an increase from just over 660 in 2022, including a 22% increase of women participating in athletics last year. Student athletes completed over 1,200 hours of community service in 2024-2025 and boasted a cumulative GPA of 3.24. Our fall student athletes are moving in for pre-season activities next week, requiring a significant amount of planning, compliance work, scheduling, and coordination. A special shout out to the Athletics staff and coaches who go above and beyond to support our student athletes.

Lastly, we remain in a strong position related to our enrollment, which is projected to grow by approximately 20% since 2022. We are approaching our fall 2025 target of 7,751 students, maintaining our spot among the SUNY comprehensive colleges as having the largest group of incoming undergraduate students. Kudos to everyone involved in all our recruitment activities, and a special recognition to UG Admissions staff for helping incoming students find Brockport as the next step in their educational journey.
