Dear Faculty and Staff,
Thank you for the exceptional work you continue to do for our students. Campus is once again alive with student energy; they’re showing up, engaging in activities, and proactively seeking support. This vibrant participation is evident everywhere, from our Saturday of Service that engaged over 720 new students across 62 community sites to the remarkable adoption of Ask Ellsworth, our 24/7 student support platform.
Ask Ellsworth has been particularly successful, with 95% of students opting into text communications. Students most frequently seek guidance on academics, housing, services, campus life, and dining. Last Friday, Ellsworth conducted proactive wellness check-ins, and our staff teams are following up with students who may benefit from additional support.
Our division continues deepening collaborative relationships across campus. This month, I met with BSG executive leadership to reaffirm our shared commitment to fostering a vibrant, engaged student community. I presented them with copies of “The Dot” by Peter H. Reynolds, the same book I shared during Student Leader Training in August, as we discussed their vision for the year and how they plan to leave their mark while empowering others to do the same.
Additionally, our leadership team met with Interim Provost Monica Brasted to highlight the many ways Student Affairs advances the institution’s academic mission. A key outcome of this meeting was our renewed commitment to strengthening cross-divisional collaboration in support of the complete student experience.
