Enrollment Management Team,
We’re thrilled that the university is starting the fall 2025 semester with 7,930 students enrolled, a 23% increase since 2022 and 180 students ahead of the target. First year retention is at a high since 2016 (75.9%) and everything is moving in a positive direction. This strong start reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff, and it sets a positive tone for the semester ahead. To give life to the enrollment numbers, please watch a new video highlighting our students’ accomplishments and experiences.
Homecoming and Family Weekend starts on Thursday with a full slate of activities throughout the weekend, starting with Lugia’s Ice Cream from 1-3pm (9/25) on the campus mall. The full schedule of events is available and includes the annual Homecoming Parade on Saturday. My youngest son and I will be driving the golf cart in the parade. If you and your family would like to embrace the Disney theme and walk in the parade with us or with one of the departmental floats, please email Debbie Lester (dlester@brockport.edu) to sign up. I know my kids have always enjoyed participating in the parade, so please let us know if your little ones would like to join. There are a lot of activities afterwards, including the Football game at 1pm, Men’s Soccer game at 4pm, the carnival at 4pm and a comedian at 8pm.

We are starting the fall semester from a position of strength in Enrollment Management, with service to students at the core of what we do. Thank you for creating welcoming spaces for our students to seek support, get engaged, and thrive at SUNY Brockport. Wishing good luck to our Golden Eagles competing this week, starting with Women’s Soccer tonight and Women’s Field Hockey tomorrow.
With gratitude,
