Greetings Colleagues,
It’s hard to believe that we are in our fourth year of our Strategic Enrollment Management Plan. Our strategies and partnerships continue to evolve and grow, positioning SUNY Brockport as a top institution among the SUNY comprehensive universities. Despite increasing headwinds and competition, SUNY Brockport continues to be in a position of strength related to our enrollment as we start the Spring 2026 semester.
Recruitment & Enrollment Update:
-
Overall Enrollment: We are approaching the spring enrollment target of 7,399 with 7,379 students registered as of today (5,618 undergraduate and 1,761 graduate). There will still be movement until our official enrollment census date, which is after the third week of classes.
-
New Students: We are on track to achieve incoming student targets for spring 2026 with 32 First Year, 280 Transfer, and 277 Graduate students registered as of today.
-
Fall 2025 UG Recruitment Update: We are in a strong position for fall 2026, with 13,973 undergraduate applications for fall, compared to 12,200 at this point last year and 11,229 in 2024. This has resulted in an increase in accepted students: 9,215 compared to 7,674 in 2025 and 7,431 in 2024. Competition among institutions is increasing every year, making our spring yield efforts more important than ever.
-
Two newer initiatives are generating increased interest in SUNY Brockport in the immediate area as well as out of state:
-
-
Direct Admit Pilot Program: The Direct Admit Program was created to strengthen our presence in key out‑of‑state markets while also streamlining the application process for high‑performing high school students across New York State. So far, the program has generated 2,912 applications and 32 deposits. Out‑of‑state applications alone have increased by 735, growing from 251 to 986.
-
-
Regional Dual Credit Program: With the addition of Greece Central Schools, SUNY Brockport’s Dual Credit program grew from 260 to 440 students this year, strengthening enrollment pipelines, generating revenue, and supporting student success while positioning Brockport as a regional leader in this expanding model of college access.

More information about summer and fall graduate and transfer applications will be included in upcoming newsletters.
SUNY Academic Momentum
SUNY Brockport is making substantial progress with the SUNY’s systemwide Academic Momentum (AcMo) Campaign effort, resulting in a draft plan that has been sent to various stakeholders for campus feedback. Embedded in our Strategic Enrollment Management Framework, the Graduation & Momentum Task Force serves as our Academic Momentum Planning Team, linking AcMo planning to the National Institute of Student Success Diagnostic and Playbook that was completed in summer 2025. Our campus plan is due to SUNY by February 5th.
Feedback from faculty, staff, and students is welcomed and encouraged to ensure these efforts reflect the needs of our community and foster collaborative solutions. Stakeholders can share input through designated feedback channels like the faculty/staff survey and upcoming engagement sessions. Details will be shared via the Daily Eagle.
