News and Notes …

I am off on Friday for a four-day weekend of yard work, so sending this out today. I know many of you also are off, so enjoy a relaxing weekend!
This week was the start of outreach to Foundation members around their year-end and Campaign giving. I had three very productive meetings in anticipation of formal asks of these and other board meetings during the summer. These meetings will continue throughout June.
The University Communications team held four website content strategy sessions with campus constituents earlier this week. More than 100 people participated as the website re-do continues.
Steve Cook (BITS) shared information in Extended Cabinet yesterday that the SUNY budget from NYS includes $200 million in infrastructure upgrades around the system. This is great news for our technology front moving forward.

A reminder from last week: It is annual report, evaluations, and performance program season, so please start working toward completing yours with your supervisor. The evaluations and performance programs should be to HR by July 1 (or VERY soon after), and our annual reports will need to be completed by July 15. More to come on that from a Divisional level.
I am out of town next Friday and the following Monday (June 2-5), so we won’t have another newsletter until June 9.

Upcoming events to note:

I’ll see some of you at the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge tonight. We have more than 50 faculty and staff registered to represent the University at the race/walk.
Don’t forget about our Divisional day at the Rochester Red Wings game this coming Wednesday, May 31. First pitch is at 11:05 am. If you need a ride, please reach out and we’ll make sure you get in one of the cars that is headed to Innovative Field.
