Interim Vice President News from Jim Wall
It has been nice to reconnect with everyone over the past few weeks. A lot has changed on Campus over the past year. It has been very evident that the Administration and Finance Division continues to contribute to the success of SUNY Brockport. Thanks for all of your efforts and support! Over the next few weeks, I will be focusing on the Five-Year Model, the Asset Replacement Plan, and getting caught up on the many projects and initiatives that are underway.

Brockport Information Technology Services (BITS)
Promotion: You may know James Onley as “all things Cybersecurity” for SUNY Brockport. His hard work in researching, educating others, problem-solving, and being a general resource for everyone concerning IT Information Security has proven to benefit us all and, as a result, he has been promoted to the University’s Information Security Officer (ISO), continuing to report to the CIO within BITS. Congratulations, James!
Scheduled Wi-Fi Maintenance Ahead!: BITS is gearing up for some essential Wi-Fi maintenance to keep our networks running smoothly. This is a multi-year project beginning this month that will eventually touch every Wi-Fi access point across the campus. Building Coordinators will be notified in advance of any work which may cause brief outages limited to the specific Wi-Fi access point being upgraded.
Finance & Management / Campus Services (F&M/CS)
Print Shop Kudos: With the recent addition of large format printers, the Print Shop can do new and exciting things for the campus now, including decaling. Dan Dippel, Manager of Print and Mail Services, and Robert Fisher have trained hard to add this asset to the campus, saving dollars as well. The Print shop has even worked with several other SUNY campuses on signage recently, including assisting SUNY Optometry in some of their departmental signage. Great job to Dan Dippel, Robert Fisher, and Kelly Lutz for making our Print Shop a one-stop-shop!
