It’s such a busy and exciting time of the year as we celebrate the successes of our students and get ready for Commencement … just three weeks from today.!
In the News!
- The Division is cleaning up with some great awards this spring! Kudos on the following:
- On the Comms side, we won three of five submissions for PRisms. We do not yet know if we won the PRism or the Award of Excellence in each category yet, but we know we have three award winners:
- Newsletters: The Port (Content Team)
- Direct Mail: 2023 Yield Email Campaign (Sophia Timba and Stevie Rudak)
- Video: “Begin Your Excellence Journey” (Zach Lyman and Sophia Timba) *this was the alumni video Zach and Sophia travelled for last summer
- On the Advancement side, we won at least one (possibly two) SUNYCUAD for Excellence Awards. We will find out in June if we won for the “Almost Alum Block Party” or the “Party in a Box.”
- Congrats to everyone for any role you played in getting these well deserved recognitions!
- Next Wednesday, May 1, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Campus Mall, join us for the 2nd Annual Stomp Out Hunger event, which focuses on mental well-being and combating food insecurity. Local and campus resources such as Foodlink’s Curbside Market, Wegmans, Hazen’s Counseling Center, UUP, and HPPE will be present. Additionally, Advancement will be there to offer our Brockport community the opportunity to donate to the cause and provide meals for students in need.
- The Brockport Foundation assets continue to grow. Our latest report from Alesco Advisors puts our total assets being managed by Alesco at $33,662,124 through the first three quarters of the fiscal year.

- Our monthly A&C Divisional birthdays’ celebration is next Tuesday, May 7, at 1 pm in the 3 rd floor conference room.
- Look for the final edition of The Port for 2023-24 on Thursday, May 2, and the last First Friday of the academic year on Friday, May 3.
