Art Professor Selected as Juror for National Sculpture Exhibition

Jennifer Hecker, professor of art, will serve as juror for the 37th Rosen National Sculpture Competition and Exhibition. The competition has showcased contemporary American sculpture in outdoor settings across the campus of Appalachian State University for the last 36 years.

Art Professor Awarded “Best in Show” in Nationally Adjudicated Exhibition

Professor Jennifer Hecker’s sculpture “Rain Maker” was awarded “Best in Show” in the eighth Annual Glass National at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA. The exhibition runs through January 8, 2023.

Art Professor’s Sculptures on Display in Two National Exhibits

Jennifer Hecker currently has work on display in two nationally adjudicated exhibitions. “Rain Maker” is in the 8th Annual Glass National exhibition at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, Virginia, while “Rain Rustler” is part of Transcending the West, an exhibition at the Artworks Center for Contemporary Art in Loveland, Colorado.

Art Professor’s Sculptures on Display in Two Person Exhibit

“Relics of the Here and Now” is an exhibition of Jennifer Hecker’s mixed-media sculptures and Juan Perdiguero’s ink drawings. The Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, February 26 from 3-6 pm at Main Street Arts in Clifton Springs, NY.
