Dance takes on new dimensions in the Strasser Studio, where audiences experience choreography from three sides. This intimate setting brings viewers closer to the emotion, raft, and human connection at the heart of each student work.

Opera (Un)Tapped: A Formal Communion with Opera On Tap (Rochester)
September 23 - 25, 2025During this residency, Artistic & Executive Director, Seiko, will offer a masterclass, lead workshops, and perform a full-scale recital. This residency will conclude with the world premiere of Tea Leaves which was the inaugural winner of The Catherine Russell Composer Prize in collaboration with The University of Michigan and The George Shirley Vocal Competition. It is our hope to inaugurate a newly developed genre-bending music incubator series where students can intimately be involved with and support the commissioning of new works, foster the development of their artistic voices, and augment their professional profiles as global citizens.

Explore the vibrant world of Indian miniature paintings — from royal portraits and devotional icons to musical Ragamalas and mythic tales. Drawn from the Dogra Art Foundation collection, these works celebrate the beauty and diversity of India’s visual heritage.

Featuring a range of media and artistic voices, this exhibition each semester celebrates BFA students who have completed years of work culminating in a capstone project.
