Sample Four-Year Degree Plan

This four-year plan serves as a sample to provide students with a clear path to graduation. A student’s path may differ from this example. Students are encouraged to consult with their faculty advisor each semester to ensure appropriate course selection.

Concentration: Media Production (JMP)

Note: The JRB Major requires a Minor or a Second Major. The Minor option is exemplified below, but if you wanted a Second Major, you just need to change the “Elective of Your Choice” to the Second Major and take 15 credits your last semester. Common minors for the JRB Major with JMP Concentration are Graphic Design, Film Studies, Communication and History.

Concentration: Public Relations (PRPI)

Note: The JRB Major requires a Minor or Second Major. The Minor option is exemplified below, but if you wanted a Second Major, you just need to change “Elective of Your Choice” to the Second Major and take 15 credits your last semester. Common minors for JRB Majors with PRPI Concentration are Graphic Design, Communication, Marketing & Business.

Concentration: Multimedia Journalism (MMJ)

Note: The JRB Major requires a Minor or Second Major. The Minor option is exemplified below, but if you wanted a Second Major, you just need to change “Elective of Your Choice” to the Second Major and take 15 credits your last semester. Common minors for JRB Majors with MMJ Concentration are English, Graphic Design, Communication, History & Political Science.
