Application Requirements
The McNair Program is an option for low-income, first-generation students with the intent of achieving a graduate level education to conduct research in their field of study.
To apply, pick up the application by visiting our office in C18 Cooper Hall.
McNair Scholar responsibilities:
Once you have been admitted into the program, McNair Scholars are expected to:
- Maintain full-time student status
- Meet with their mentor once a month
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher
- Be an active participant in Professional Development Seminars
- Take the GRE or related test (GMAT, MCAT, LSAT) during your senior year
- Apply to at least one graduate school
- Submit a Personal Statement
- Develop research in their academic discipline
