The certificate can help prepare:
- professionals working in local governments and regional organizations looking to grow into broader positions of local public management responsibility that stretch their discipline-based preparation.
- those currently enrolled in a master’s program or who already have earned their master’s degree in another related field by providing supplemental local government preparation
- recent baccaulareate graduates looking to make a preliminary educational investment and explore the field before enrolling in a full master’s program.

Curriculum
This 12-credit advanced certificate is offered 100% online. It provides training in essential areas such as financial and business management and policy analysis.
Applicants with a completed bachelor’s or master’s degree are eligible, and the program is open to those currently pursuing a master’s degree as well.
