Earned Associate’s degree will guarantee full junior status
If you are currently attending a two-year institution, it is recommended that you finish your Associate’s Degree. You’ll receive a minimum of 60 and a maximum of 75 transfer credits and will have completed ALL general education requirements.

SUNY Transfers
For students transferring from another SUNY institution (two- or four-year), selecting courses at that SUNY institution that will fulfill the SUNY General Education requirements will maximize the usefulness and flexibility of those credits.

Non-SUNY Transfers
If you are transferring from a non-SUNY institution, courses you have taken may also fulfill the SUNY General Education Categories and may be applied to major requirements. Please contact Transfer Services for more information regarding the transferring of non-SUNY courses.

This will allow you to enter into your major in a more timely and efficient manner.
