Friends of Drake Library

The Friends of Drake Library is a group whose purpose is to support those who make use of Drake Memorial Library and its wide array of information resources. 

Who we are

The Friends of Drake Library (FODL) is a group of volunteers committed to enhancing the student experience of Drake Library. We ensure library patrons have the resources and support needed to further their academic studies.

What we do

  • Augment library programming to bolster student mental health and stress reduction, especially around finals week.
  • Sponsor a library research award program for students honoring excellent research and scholarship.

How can you join us?

  • Join us at our monthly meetings and special events during the school year
  • Volunteer for leadership opportunities as a member of the executive committee
  • Fall Trivia Night - all proceeds go the Friends of Drake Library!

The 100,000 square-foot building features flexible learning and meeting spaces to serve teaching, study, and research needs. The library’s reach extends beyond the campus, serving the wider community with information resources, accessibility needs, and programming.
