- Review of Fall 2020 Course Fees
- End of July Request to Deans: Although, SUNY Brockport has planned to re-open for the Fall 2020 semester, we understand that some courses might not be back to “normal.” Due to these circumstances we need to review course fees for Fall 2020. If a student is enrolled in an online course and will not utilize the materials associated with the fee, they cannot be assessed the fee. In these situations, the course fee needs to be waived. Like the summer term, there are no percent adjustments to course fees for the Fall. Fees are either assessed (because the student utilized the associated materials) or not assessed. Further information on whether or not a course fee should be assessed for a course, even if it is 100% online can be found here; https://www.brockport.edu/support/policies/adopted/af_finance_online_course_fee_waiver.html. I have attached a document containing information on each department’s Fall 2020 course fees. Please review this listing and communicate which fees need to be waived. If a fee is not being waived, a justification must be noted. We would like to keep the same rules for courses with the same fee. You will see that within the provided document, these courses are listed together to maintain a level of consistency.
