Campus Based Fee Review Committee
A sub-committee to the Joint Planning and Budget Committee (JPBC) to be chaired by the AVP of Finance and Management and the incoming Faculty Senate Chair and consisting of appropriate staff members and student representation. The primary function of the committee will be the annual review of Broad Based Fee requests and to recommend changes in fee levels and fee policy to the JPBC
Committee’s Responsibilities:
Every two years, the committee will be charged with providing the Joint Planning and Budget Committee a report.
- Evaluate current campus fee assessment, waiver and exemption guidelines.
- Recommend appropriate fee assessment, waiver and exemption for online courses and programs.
- Reviewing and recommending revisions to the Campus Policy on the Assessment of Campus-Based Fees.

- Alumni Fee Follow-up Feedback: K. Riotto met with Mike Andriatch, Vice President for Advancement, and Kerry Gotham, Director of Alumni Engagement, on January 26, 2022.

- Policy Update: Recommended change in the Course Fee approval process. Attached.
- Student Education: Recommendation to add access to the Fall 2021 Student Fee Forum video presentations from the Campus Based Fee Review Committee Website. Net ID and password will be required to access and a brief MachForm will be added to receive feedback or suggestions.
- Assessment Criteria: Recommendation to eliminate the double Technology Fee for exclusively on programs due to lack a compelling data the exclusively online program students utilized technology excessively compared to other enrolled students. The extraordinary fiscal health of the Technology Fee accounts does not support the need for additional resources. $1.9M combined ending balance as of 06/30/2021. Estimated annual revenue reduction impact estimated to be up to $175,000. Current Technology Fee accounts combined balances are approximately $3M.

- Thursday, February 24, 2022 -2022 Fee-Based Budget JPBC Presentations
- All fee managers were sent the Fall Fee Forum Feedback Survey Results as well as the feedback specific to their fee to incorporate into their 2022 presentation.
- Friday, February 25, 2022 - BSG Student Fee Forum
- H. Gardner and L. Acker will be present on behalf of the CBFRC
- Fee managers will be asked to bring their presentations. A flash drive with all presentations will be created as well.
- 2022-2023 Course Fees
- Call sent by the Budget Office in January and are due back
- CBFRC formal review will be March 28 or April 14, 2022
