Approval of November 9, 2017 minutes

Dr. Copelton asked the committee to review the minutes from the November 9, 2017 meeting. With no corrections, Mr. Menear motioned the minutes to be approved, Dr. Bhadury seconded the motion, and all were in favor so the minutes were approved.

Announcements from the Co-Chairs

The following announcements were made:

  • Dr. Copelton thanked Dr. Willis for his five years of service at Brockport and wished him well in his retirement.
  • Dr. Willis stated that the Governor announced the Regional Economic Development Awards with over $7 million capital projects awarded. Included in the awards is funding for a pathway from Commissary Park to Tower Fine Arts Center. It is anticipated that construction may begin this summer.
  • Dr. Willis announced that beginning in January, Lou Spiro will be taking over as Co-Chair for the committee.

Capital Planning 101 - SUNY SUCF

Mr. Beaudoin, Mr. Haelen and Ms. McCabe provided a PowerPoint presentation on the overview of the State University Construction Fund capital planning process. The presentation is available on Blackboard.

Summary - Staffing History

Committee members reviewed the provided staffing history information. Some questions arose on the calculations and data provided. Upon investigation of these questions, it can be noted that the total FTE change listed on the spreadsheet was between FY10/11 and FY15/16. The negative FTE’s in Miscellaneous were related to the early retirement incentive offered in that year.

Other Items from the Committee

None at this time.
