SUNY Brockport’s Social Work program has three prerequisite courses. If you are not pursuing the A.S. in Human Services, it is required to take the following prerequisite courses as part of your SCCC degree to be eligible for the program at Brockport:
- BIO 101 or BIO 105
- PSY 101
- SOC 101
*Note: Social Work is a fall-start-only major at Brockport. Prerequisites must be completed (with a “C” or better) prior to starting the program. A 2.5 cumulative GPA is required, in addition to an associate’s degree, or at least 64 transferable credits. Students interested in the Online Degree Completion program should be aware of the March 1st priority deadline. For best consideration, prerequisites should be completed prior to this date.
