Q: Can you describe Club Gymnastics?

A: Club Gymnastics offers college students a unique opportunity to stay active, pursue their passion for gymnastics, and connect with a supportive community. It provides a flexible alternative to varsity sports, accommodating a range of skill levels and academic commitments. Students can enjoy training, learning new skills, and competing in a less intense but still rewarding environment.

A: Our mission is to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where college students can pursue their passion for gymnastics, foster personal growth, and build lifelong friendships. We strive to create a balance between athletics and academics, encouraging members of all skill levels to grow, support one another, and achieve their goals both on and off the mat!

Q: How does Club Gymnastics enhance your college experience?

A: Whether students are continuing their gymnastics journey or trying it for the first time, they gain confidence, discipline, and memorable experiences through participation in the club.

Q: In what ways has your leadership role improved your skillset?

A: Leadership in the club has boosted my confidence, teaching me to remain calm under pressure and adapt to challenges — skills that will be invaluable as I navigate the demanding and fast-paced environment of nursing school.

Coordinating practices, organizing events, and addressing the needs of club members have taught me how to effectively convey ideas, listen actively, and resolve conflicts. These experiences have made me more comfortable approaching professors, advocating for myself, and collaborating with others in academic and professional settings.

Q: Fun facts about the club?

A: Each Spring semester, our team travels to a national gymnastics’ competition! Last year, we went to Albuquerque, New Mexico and this year, we visited Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Also, all of our officers are gymnastics coaches back in their hometowns and have been doing gymnastics for over five years! Not only do we consider ourselves experienced, but we are comfortable work with all levels and enjoy seeing team members achieve new skills on the mats!
