On October 15, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, and Cybersecurity students came out in large numbers to attend the Fall Careers in Computing event.
The Department of Computing Sciences has a long history of hosting this event every semester. Through the department’s continued commitment to creating opportunities for experiential learning, this event enables students to connect directly with local technology employers. The first hour of the event is dedicated to a panel discussion related to technology career preparation followed by a networking luncheon.
Students also had the opportunity to participate in mock interviews with an employer - allowing them to obtain valuable feedback to strengthen their interviewing skills.
Through connections made at this event, Computing Sciences students land internships and full-time opportunities.
