Drake Memorial Library Receives Coordinated Collections Development Aid Award

Drake Memorial Library has been awarded $12,883 through the Library Coordinated Collections Development Aid (CCDA) for 2025–2026, sponsored by the New York State Education Department.

Broadly, CCDA funding fosters strategic, collaborative library collection development and enhances our access to high-quality scholarly resources across the New York State academic library system. The program supports the development of specialized collections at participating institutions while ensuring that materials acquired through CCDA funds are discoverable and shareable statewide through resource-sharing services such as interlibrary loan—benefiting students and researchers throughout New York.

At SUNY Brockport, this funding specifically supports Drake Library’s ability to develop and align collections within the following subject areas: American History, American Literature, Dance, Education, English Literature, and Kinesiology.

This award underscores SUNY Brockport’s continued commitment to academic excellence, affordable learning, and student success.

Faculty with information needs or questions concerning library collections for their subject areas are encouraged to contact their library liaison. If you are interested in learning more about this award please contact Collection Assessment & Development Librarian, Brigette Meskell.

The grant is administered by The Research Foundation for SUNY under the Scholarship, Research, and Sponsored Programs (SRSP) Office.
