Environmental Science & Ecology Professor Received Research Grants

Dr. Jacques Rinchard has received two research grants: one from Mississippi State University and another from the US Fish Wildlife Service’s Klamath Falls Fish Hatchery.

The Mississippi State University grant in the amount of $1,800 will support the quantification of fatty acids in several tissues of vultures, while the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service grant of $1,350 will fund the assessment of thiamine concentrations in eggs and larvae of lost river suckers. Both projects will provide valuable hands-on research opportunities for undergraduate students, enhancing their training and experience in aquatic and wildlife physiology.

The grants are being administered by The Research Foundation for SUNY under the Scholarship, Research, and Sponsored Programs (SRSP) Office.
