The conference took place in Oswego, NY on April 13 - 15, 2026.
Undergraduate student Jessica Freese presented her work titled “The effects of ash tree mortality on fish diversity in the Black Creek watershed” during the poster session. Jessica is advised by Andie Graham.
Graduate student Grace Dowdall presented her work titled “Emerald ash borer-driven ash mortality and nest site selection by cavity nesting birds” as a paper presentation. Grace is co-advised by Kristen Malone and Andie Graham.
Andie Graham presented her work titled “Restoration of riparian wetlands decimated by the emerald ash borer along Black Creek in western New York” to share updates on a large scale wetland reforestation project funded by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. Additionally, Andie serves on the Board for the NYSWF and coordinated and hosted a student professional development session titled “Careers in Wetlands & Ecology”, which allowed students to gain career advice and network with several wetland professionals.
Several alumni from the Department of Environmental Science & Ecology also attended the conference.
