The research team interviewed Nurse Practitioners who graduated with their MSN from 1980-2000 starting in 2019. This is one of the first repositories of oral histories of this fairly new profession, first developed in the late 1960s. The Rochester region was central in the development of Nurse Practitioner education, and many of the interviewees have ties to the University of Rochester and SUNY Brockport.
