Pre-professional Studies: Pharmacy Pathway Minor

Description

The Pre-Professional Studies: Pharmacy Pathway Minor is an interdisciplinary minor, drawing courses from a variety of disciplines. This minor is an intentional collection of courses and experiences that many pharmacy schools recommend students take prior to entering the field, plus elective coursework chosen by our PPH Advisory Board that would best serve to enhance the critical thinking and problem-solving skills of Pre-Pharmacy students. It is not intended to satisfy the list of prerequisite courses needed to apply to pharmacy school.

Admission to the Program

Any undergraduate student intending on applying to pharmacy school is encouraged to declare this minor. Students will need to take the following prerequisite courses to be able to complete the minor: BIO201, CHM205, MTH201, and ENG112. All of these courses are prerequisites for Pharmacy school and students are advised to complete them as part of their academic plan and application portfolio development. Students not intending on applying to Pharmacy School should instead explore the Pre-professional Health Minor.
