First-Year Scholarships
The following scholarships are awarded to eligible first-year students who choose to live on campus:
Gold Scholarship
$4,500/year
Awarded to first-year students who typically earn a high school GPA of 93+, demonstrate academic achievement, and are engaged inside and outside of the classroom.
Green Scholarship
$2,500/year
Awarded to first-year students who typically earn a high school GPA of 88+, demonstrate academic achievement, and are engaged inside and outside of the classroom.
Prometheus Scholarship
$6,000/year
Awarded to qualified first-year students who are admitted into the Honors College. A student’s high school GPA, regents scores, and advanced high school coursework are considered.
Eagle Scholarship
$1,000 one-time award
Awarded to help offset on-campus housing expenses.
Residential Scholars Award*
Free housing for your first year
One-time award for students who typically earn a high school GPA of 96+.
Available to NYS residents only. This award is combined with the Gold or Prometheus Award to equal the cost of housing for the first year.
Out-of-State Students: Empire Scholarship
$5,000/year
Awarded to qualified non-NYS residents.
Collegiate Scholarship
$1,500/year
Awarded to first-year students who typically earn a high school GPA of 85-88, demonstrate academic achievement, and are engaged inside and outside of the classroom.
Eligibility
Candidates must be first-time college students entering directly from high school.
Our competitive scholarship program holistically considers a student’s GPA, academic rigor, and level of engagement to automatically grant an award at the time of admission.
Note: GPA thresholds indicated for each scholarship represent the typical applications who receive each award but are not a strict requirement. Many factors are considered when determining scholarship eligibility.
Renewal
First-Year Scholarships are renewable for four years (unless otherwise specified) by maintaining full-time status, a minimum 3.25 GPA, and housing requirements.

Transfer Scholarships
Half of our transfer students receive scholarships.
$1,500 Transfer Scholarship
Awarded to students with 3.5 GPA & 24 or more credits.
$1,000 Transfer Scholarship
Awarded to students with 3.0 GPA & 24 or more credits.
Eligibility
Candidates must come to Brockport after completing a minimum of 24 college credits at another College or University and have demonstrated outstanding academic excellence.
Renewal
Transfer awards are renewable for up to two consecutive years by maintaining full-time status and a minimum 3.25 GPA.
