Equity & Inclusion

If you’re looking for a supportive community where your ethnicity, religion, orientation, or identity is valued, SUNY Brockport has spaces and programs ready to embrace you for exactly who you are.

"Sankofa" is a Ghanaian expression represented by a bird whose head turns back looking towards the past, relating to the way the Sankofa African Dance and Drum Ensemble brings African tradition into modern day.

At SUNY Brockport, we celebrate differences while appreciating our similarities. We respect the dignity of all students, faculty,  and staff and strive to create a safe, welcoming environment for everyone.

This is our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
