Meteorology Major/Minor

Understand the Earth’s weather patterns from daily forecasts to long-term climate shifts.

Connect with like-minded peers by joining Earth Science & Meteorology Club. You don’t have to have a background in earth science; only a love for the outdoors, an interest in the world around you, and a concern for the environment!

Why Meteorology?

Observe, study, and forecast the weather and climate changes that affect people across the globe everyday. You’ll learn to calculate the movement of weather events, read radar and satellite data, and identify changes in climate patterns.

Storm Chasers

“We saw hail the size of softballs. We saw a wedge tornado, which can cause severe damage because it’s on the ground for 30 to 40 minutes.”
