Current students

  1. Sign in
Sign in to the Brockport Foundation Scholarship portal with your Brockport NetID & password.

  2. Complete the general application
Submit contact information, resume, responses to writing prompts, and reference information.

All applicants are required to complete this before being considered for scholarships.
  3. Review scholarship recommendations & apply
Once your general application is complete, a list of recommended opportunities will be suggested.

You can  search for additional scholarships by clicking Opportunities > Ours and using the Show Filters button.
  4. Read all scholarship descriptions thoroughly before applying
Many scholarships have additional criteria, questions, or supporting materials. Do not apply for scholarships that you are not qualified for based on eligibility and criteria.
  5. Check on the status of the scholarships you applied for by visiting My Applications in the header.

Note: There is no auto-save feature in the Scholarship Portal. It is strongly recommended that you frequently select Save and Keep Editing. You can go back to update your application as many times as needed before the deadline.

Letters of recommendation

Some scholarships require at least one online letter of recommendation. We recommend asking faculty, current or former employers, or professional colleagues to serve as a reference. Do not ask family, friends, resident assistants, peer mentors, or student peers to provide a reference.

An application that requires a letter of recommendation will include a section to fill in your reference provider’s name and email address. It’s important to make sure this information is accurate. You should obtain agreement from your potential reference before beginning your application.

You should give your reference provider plenty of time to write a letter on your behalf. Communicate with your chosen provider in person or via phone so they know to expect a reference request from scholarships@brockport.edu.

Note: Letters of Recommendation are due at the public application deadline. All references must be submitted through the scholarship portal.
