She plans to pursue a research career in medical neuroscience as a medical doctor. One of her current projects is a scoping review evaluating the effectiveness of applying Dance Movement Therapy to improve declining cognitive functioning in people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. She is grateful to Dr. Hazzan, Dr. Beach, and Dr. Hing for their guidance and support during this nomination process!

SUNY Brockport has nominated Kiera Unverzagt for a Goldwater Scholarship. Kiera is an Honors College pre-med student pursuing a dual degree in Neuroscience (BS) and Dance (BFA).
