The Department of Computing Sciences is seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA). The Teaching Assistant will support the Department of Computing Sciences in delivering high-quality, hands-on instruction in undergraduate computing courses. The TA will assist with the department needs such teaching or lab-base assistant for courses such as CSC 120, CSC 203, CSC 205, CSC 219, CSC 311, and CYB 203, providing direct instructional support to students in programming, software development, and cybersecurity topics. Each lab section typically enrolls 25–35 students and meets for two hours weekly.
The TA will work approximately 20 hours per week under the supervision of assigned course faculty and the Department Chair or the Program Director. This role provides valuable professional experience in teaching, leadership, and technical communication while supporting SUNY Brockport’s mission of academic excellence, equity, and inclusion.
