Student Accessibility Services Graduate Diversity Fellow (Full-time)

This student facing position involves a variety of interactions with students and faculty including front desk duties, tabling events, and assistive technology. Mainly, you will be assisting with running the Testing Centers on the Main and Downtown Campus. However, you will be trained on all aspects of the Student Accessibility Services (SAS) department including the highlights below:

  • Proctor at the Downtown Campus as needed (parking pass provided), which may include evening hours
  • Assist with a variety of tasks including answering phones, talking with students, filing, copying, and applying general customer service skills
  • Support with printing, scanning, and managing tests in various formats
  • Preparing testing packets, outreach to professors for Exams, and co-coordinate test returns
  • Co-administering tests, proctoring, and assisting students with disabilities to access their services within the department
  • Assist with tabling events to inform the student population about SAS
    • set up table to pass out information about Student Accessibility Services
    • give away prizes with a prize wheel and share pamphlets about SAS
    • answer prospective student questions as they pertain to services available, eligibility, and the registration process
  • Additional tasks as needed

This position requires strong attention to details, the ability to multi-task, reliable attendance, a willingness to learn, help, and the need for confidentiality.

Must be willing to work hours between 8am – 4pm, Monday – Friday (depending on your course schedule). There will also possibly be some evening hours to Proctor at the Downtown Campus (on-call).
