Trash to Treasure:
As students move out of their dorms, they’ll probably find some items they didn’t use or won’t use again (e.g. clothing, toiletries, school supplies, food) and might consider throwing out. But, these items tend to be gently used (or even brand new!) and in good condition to be donated. As these students drop items off in their dorms, they’ll be brought to Cooper Hall to be sorted and organized for local nonprofits to pick up. Volunteer slots available throughout the month of May. Last year, 1,759 cubic feet worth of donations were collected!

Saturday of Service:
Students, faculty and staff are invited to serve as Team Leaders for our Saturday of Service event on August 29 (during Welcome Week 2026). Incoming students will take part in a variety of service projects, including gardening, cleaning, painting, and more, as a way to get them acclimated to the region and introduce them to the ways they can get involved. Accompany our new students at their sites & help them get better acquainted with their new peers and community!
