What is the one thing you hope students take away from your course(s)?
The fact that public administration is a theoretic, academic subject rather than simply an accounting of practice.
What kinds of coursework and capstone projects should students expect?
Students should expect courses that rigorously examine their knowledge and understanding of public administration as an academic subject.
What is the focus of your scholarly pursuits?
The governance and organization of different state/society relationships.
What is the most interesting thing, to you, about the research area you’re pursuing?
Exploring state/society relationships not only tells us how government operates but also how people within and outside of government think it should operate. It helps us to understand what government can do, what it should do, and what people think it ought to do.
