Bio
Lauren Esposito is a mental health counselor with over 10 years of experience working in education. Before starting at Brockport, Lauren taught college and high school Humanities courses and worked as an academic advisor. Building relationships with students inspired her to focus on college mental health in the next chapter of her work life. She values collaborating with students to develop equitable spaces for wellness that prioritize human connection.
Lauren approaches counseling with empathy, cultural humility, and a commitment to understanding how environmental factors and systems impact people and communities. She works to remove barriers to students’ success and well-being, while focusing on holistic counseling and multicultural awareness. Lauren strives to center students’ lived experiences and to emphasize their capacities for growth and change. When she’s not in the office, she’s out walking her dog, taking improv classes, or attending theater and arts festivals.
