Bio

John is a Mental Health Counselor at SUNY Brockport with several years of experience providing mental health services to students across university counseling center settings. He is passionate about college mental health and supporting students as they navigate the academic, relational, emotional, and personal challenges that can arise throughout the college experience for both traditional students and nontraditional students alike.

John uses a warm, collaborative, and person-centered approach informed by evidence-based practices. He works with students experiencing a broad range of concerns, with particular clinical interests in anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, relationship and family concerns, and adjustment to life transitions. He strives to provide a supportive space where students can better understand themselves, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward meaningful personal growth.
