Bio
Eddie Murphy received his undergraduate degree in dance from SUNY Brockport and an MS in Special Education from the University of Arizona, and has performed with dance companies in Arizona, California, Washington and Albany, NY. He returned to Rochester and founded the Drumcliffe School of Irish Dance and the Drumcliffe Dance Project, (A contemporary dance company focusing on the fusion of a variety of ethnic dance and modern dance). A certified teacher and adjudicator of Irish dance of An Coimisiún (an organization in Ireland dedicated to preserve and promote Irish Dancing, step dancing, céili dancing and other forms of Irish dance, and also to promote the use of the Irish language. He is an active artist in The Rochester and Monroe County dance community, and he teaches Irish Dance and Introduction to Dance at SUNY Brockport.
