Bio

Dr. Derya Ipek Eroglu is an Assistant Professor of Computing Sciences at SUNY Brockport, specializing in Computer Information Systems. Her research explores the interactions between digital platforms and society, with a particular focus on social media. Using data and text analysis methods informed by social science theories, she approaches these topics from an interdisciplinary perspective. Dr. Eroglu holds a Ph.D. in Business Information Technology from Virginia Tech and has a background in Industrial Engineering, bringing a unique, cross-disciplinary approach to her teaching and research.
