Bio

Marcus L. Green, D.B.A. is an Assistant Professor and the Cybersecurity Program Director (UG) in the Department of Computing Sciences at the State University of New York (SUNY) Brockport, where he teaches cyber courses, including Ethical Hacking, Database and Web Security, and Information Assurance and Incident Response. His previous teaching positions included visiting assistant professor of instruction at the University of South Florida and assistant professor at Oregon State University. Green earned a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of South Florida and holds a Master in Information Technology Management from Webster University’s Walker School of Business and Technology. His doctoral research focused on human factors that drive cyberspace insider threat activities.

Green is a retired military IT/Cybersecurity officer and has held many cybersecurity industry positions, including Incident Responder at the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Cybersecurity Training Developer (USSOCOM), Lead Security Engineer (Department of Navy), and Information Systems Security Officer (Oregon State University). He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). His past certifications include CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), CompTIA Security+, and CompTIA A+.
