Research Interests

I specialize in science and environmental communication, with a particular focus on news media coverage of extractive industries and climate change. My research explores the intersection of media representation and public perceptions of climate change in resource-dependent communities.

I also have significant experience developing and researching augmented reality (AR), social media campaigns, and data analytics.

Before joining academia, I held positions in marketing and communications across multiple industries (agriculture, self-storage, and higher education, to name a few), including work with national grocery chains on sustainable packaging initiatives that eliminated millions of single-use containers from landfills annually.
