Description
The International Business Major prepares you to understand and navigate the complexities of global business. You will learn core business subjects like management, marketing, and finance, with a special focus on international markets and cross-cultural differences. The curriculum includes in-depth exploration of global economics, international marketing, and foreign investment. Our program offers an interdisciplinary education, blending business courses with a wide selection of foreign languages and cultural studies along with opportunities for study abroad and foreign internships. This unique program prepares you for careers such as international marketing manager, global supply chain manager, and foreign trade consultant. Students interested in business studies may also consider majors or minors in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, and Finance.
Program Requirements
Students pursue the International Business Major as part of a Bachelor of Science degree, and must satisfy its requirements. Students are also bound by the policies and procedures of the School of Business and Management. Students must earn a grade of “C” or better in each course used to satisfy an International Business major requirement.

These electives can be completed in any combination. Study abroad credits, business internship, and cross-cultural courses all need to be approved by the student’s academic advisor. Other cross-cultural courses can be approved by the department chair on a case-by-case basis. The cross-cultural courses are typically upper division, internationally focused, social sciences courses focusing on current cultural issues.
