Bio

Dr. Savisesh Malampallayil is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at SUNY Brockport’s School of Business & Management. He teaches Principles of Marketing, Marketing Research, and Social Media & Digital Marketing (BUS335, BUS436, BUS439) and directs Brockport Brand Builders, a student-run marketing agency that partners with local businesses for experiential learning.

Dr. Savisesh’s research bridges consumer behavior and public health, with recent projects on social exclusion and patient empowerment in chronic care. He holds a PhD from SUNY Binghamton and brings ten years of industry experience in corporate strategy and brand leadership, having led multiple international brands in the Indian market. A recognized teacher and practitioner, he has received teaching awards and completed professional certifications including Google AI Essentials, Google Prompting Essentials, and Google Digital Marketing & E-Commerce.

Dr. Savisesh has published in outlets including the Journal of Consumer Behaviour and regularly presents his work at major conferences, including the AMA, ACR, and Advances in Retailing and Consumer Science.

He is committed to experiential learning, data-driven research, and community engagement. Students and collaborators are welcome to contact him for research opportunities, class projects, or industry partnerships.
