Through the BI dashboards, account holders can view both revenue and expense transactions for their state-side departmental accounts. BI also offers users the ability to run and download reports. Expense transactions in BI are separated into categories including Personal Service Regular (PSR), Temporary Service (TS) and Other Than Personal Service (OTPS).(See definitions below.) Where each expense posts depends on the sub-object code that is used at the time the payment is processed.
Personal Service Regular(PSR)
- The faculty funding and administrative staff funding for permanent budgeted lines.
PSR Overtime and Holiday Pay
- Overtime and holiday payments to regular staff on PSR lines.
Temporary Service (TS) Non-instructional
- Salaries for hourly, part-time, and summer non-instructional employees and non-instructional extra service payments.
Temporary Service (TS) Instructional
- Salaries for adjuncts, summer session instructors, and instructional extra service payments.
Temporary Service (TS) GA/TA and Student
- Stipends for graduate and teaching assistants and wages for student employees.
Other Than Personal Service (OTPS)
- Supplies - Office, classroom, computer, maintenance and laboratory supplies; food and beverage purchases from BASC.
- Travel – Hotel, transportation, meals, and personal car mileage.
- Contractual – Maintenance and office equipment service contracts, computer software and services, consultants and other professional services, honoraria, subscriptions to periodicals, conference and workshop registration fees, and off-campus printing.
- Equipment – Computers and peripherals, furniture, classroom equipment, and library acquisitions.
- Supplies-Transfers – Parking payments and journal transfers.
- Recharges – Telecom, Postage, Print Shop, and State Auto.
