Policy Statement

The Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) requires colleges and universities to disclose information about various aspects of their institutions. Information to disclose includes: academic program and costs, student life and safety, transfer credit policies, accreditation status, faculty qualifications, student outcomes and financial aid information, voter registration, and contact information for filing complaints with the University’s state approval agency and any other relevant state official or agency that would handle a student’s complaint.

Purpose/Scope

Federal regulations require that institutions provide a list of consumer information, disclosures, statistics, and other information and reports to current and prospective students.

Applicability

This policy applies to students, faculty, and staff.

Policy Procedures

The HEOA of 2008 contains numerous federal reporting and disclosure requirements for information from various administrative areas of higher education institutions; this information must be distributed to students annually.
