Identification

Please be advised that beginning on May 7th, 2025, only state-issued driver’s licenses and ID cards that meet the security requirements established by the REAL ID Act will be allowed to board commercial aircraft.

For employees who have a NYS driver’s license, you can identify if you have a REAL ID license at DMV Enhanced or REAL ID. If you do NOT have a REAL ID compliant license, you will need to request one before May 7th, 2025.

If your driver’s license is from another state, please follow the links below to verify whether your current license meets the REAL ID requirements, or to find the instructions for securing a new ID that does before May 7th, 2025.

Method 1 (When lodging without Receipt) or Non-overnight Meal Payment Allowances

Note: Method one is with unreceipted lodging. Non receipted lodging must be justified and is discouraged.

Note: There are adjustments to the rates dependent on time departed for travel and time of arrival home.
