The SUNY Brockport shield and torch symbolize the university’s commitment to education, the pursuit of knowledge, and the desire to empower its students to be informed and engaged members of society.
Used for the university’s social profile image only. “SUNY Brockport” should appear in close proximity.
To accommodate the design and technical needs of various media, there are three official versions of the SUNY Brockport logo: horizontal (primary), vertical, and all-in-one.
The logo should occupy its own space. For the horizontal and vertical alignment, this space is determined by the height of the “B” in the name and using that measurement to determine the perimeter (top, bottom, left, right) of the space around the logo.
The University logo is intended to be used as designed. No alterations may be made to the logo including, but not limited to:
Brand extension logos have been developed to provide schools, departments, and major units with uniform lockups that align seamlessly with the University’s overall identity. Each logo combines the university shield with the school’s or unit’s name, using the same typeface as the primary university logo. Note: All of the usage guidelines apply to these marks as well.
To request a brand extension logo, please fill out a marketing request.
Round badges may be used for social media profile images when space is limited. These marks should not be used outside of this digital placement. Brand extension logos are available for all other needs.
The SUNY Brockport primary and brand extension logos should be used on all university promotional materials. Ancillary logos may be requested for variation and further promotion of large-scale items, such as:
Ancillary logos, which were inspired by the university’s primary logo and maintain consistency with the university’s visual identity, have been created for that purpose.
Please contact University Communications to request one. Other logos that are not identified in this guide are not permitted and should not be used.
These examples show the proper ways to use the approved ancillary logos and lockups for special programs, external events, and community-wide events.
