Order of Omega

The premiere honor society for fraternity and sorority leaders.

Order of Omega Honor Society

The Order of Omega is an international leadership honor society that recognizes outstanding Greek members. The purpose of the organization is to recognize students who have attained a high standard of leadership in inter-Greek activities and to inspire others to do the same. By bringing together a representative and inclusive group of members, the Order of Omega can help influence change on campus and in the local community. Members of the Order of Omega also have the unique opportunity to network with faculty, alumni, and other students around the world.

The Order of Omega was founded at the University of Miami (FL) in 1959 by a group of fraternity members who felt that the Greek community should be recognized for their service. After years of expansion, the Order voted to become a coeducation organization in 1977. This paved the way for sorority members to join the organization and further accelerated the Order’s growth. There are now over 550 chapters across the United States, Canada, and The Bahamas.
