Express Check Out

This option is designed for students who are leaving the university and need to turn in their keys (if applicable)* when the front desk is unattended or a Residential Life staff member is not available.

If no staff member is available to facilitate the check-out process, students may use the Express Check Out Envelope to make sure the keys (if applicable)* are properly returned. Submitting this envelope does not guarantee housing termination or a financial refund.

Students are only approved to check out of their housing assignment if they have completed the Temporary Academic Leave form or have prior written approval from the Office of Residential Life (Authoring Individuals would be Donald Bigelow, Hunter Lincoln or Sarah Roffe).

For any questions about housing refunds please view the Housing Refund Policy.

The Office of Residential Life/ Learning Communities encourages students to meet with Financial Aid representatives to see how living off-campus could potentially impact any financial aid/ scholarships that are awarded.

*Students living in either Eagle Hall, Perry Hall or Bramley Hall, would still complete a express check out envelope, but there is no key to return. Please do not put your ID in the express check out envelope.
